arp problem in slave mode

arp problem in slave mode
« on: September 20, 2016, 05:27:44 AM »
Hi to all, i'm experiencing an annoying problem with my pro2.
I'm using it in a setup where i have a digital piano working like a masterkeybed.

Every synth i have is controlled by the master. When i switch the arpeggiator on my Pro2 and i struck a chord in the master nothing works like expected.

It seems the chord rimain sustaned, like hold.

Anyway if i write a midi clip my pro2 works fine.

Anyone experiencing the same problem or something like this?

Sounds a bit strange.

The P2 arp plays fine from another keyboard here so I guess your master must be sending something weird to the P2.

Can you use  some software on a computer to see what midi the master keyboard is sending out?

I'm using Ableton Live with my master keyboard controlling all the channels i use in my projects and push for the automations or the percussions.

than i have the Tempest a virus indigo2 and a Radias and everyone of theese synths receive precise midi note signals without any problem.

That's why i'm a little bit confused about the pro2 behaviour.

I have external keyboards routed through live to the P2 and the arp works fine so I am sure we can get to the bottom of it.

Have you got live sending clock to the P2?

What are your clock settings on the P2?

If you pen in midi notes in a clip in live does the P2 arp work properly?

I have the same concept you use.

I have the pro2 slaved to ableton and the master controlling the pro2 through Ableton.I'm using the midi in port.

I've noticed that the same happen even if i plug the virus to the pro2 without any daw.

The arp(only the arp) works like if it's sustained and if i switch hold on and then off it stops.

It may be worth resetting your globals (Globals->38 Reset Globals), does that make it work?

I'm using a midi interface and my audio intarface to control my synth.Since i plug the midi ot from the midi interface i have that unpleasent problem.Changing the midi source everything works great! WOW.

This synth is AMAZING.
