Using midi-pedal to change presets

Using midi-pedal to change presets
« on: August 24, 2023, 02:14:27 PM »
I would like to change presets with a footpedal of some sorts. Does anyone know if I can use the DMC micro? I have tried but it doesnt work apparently. I the global menu I have changed midi receive settings to both cc and nrpn ( probably not spelled correctly), but it still doesnt work. The DMC micro is set up so it works with an old  casio keyboard, so I know THAT works. Does anyone have suggestions for either how to use the DMC micro with Prophet 2rev or which other midi-pedal to use. Thanks :-)

You have done it before, so probably kicking in open doors
- but here I go

Midi Program Enable must be ON also, and midi CC, not nrpn(I think)
For current bank selected you need only send C0 01 for program 2 on midi channel 1, two bytes
To make bank select if needing change, unless you organized all you need in one bank
- send B0 20 01 for bank 2, midi channel 1, three bytes

Since not done it myself, not sure if display changes preset, or if just edit buffer is filled with the chosen program. I read a remark on this for some synth, but not sure if REV2.

Must be possible on controller you have...
