Paraphonic sequencing question

Paraphonic sequencing question

With Paraphonic sequencing each oscillator has its own dedicated sequencer track. If you only record a single sequence with one oscillator though can you play the other two from the keyboard?

No, unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

When you're in Paraphonic mode, the sequencer's Para Seq can either be "off" or "on." If it's off, then the first track controls the sequence, and the oscillators rotate through all three for each note. This is actually a pretty cool effect.

When Para Seq is on, then each oscillator gets a track (1-3). However, an unrecorded track plays nothing, even when you hold down multiple keys on the keyboard.

Would be nice to have this option via firmware update.

Agreed, it would be neat. One thing I love about the Prophet 5's CV implementation is that it binds a single voice to CV in and gate, so you can play the other four voices freely alongside a repeating CV sequence. It's a great way to get in a zone.

It doesn't seem like a simple feature to implement, though, the more I try to think about it. But I guess that wouldn't be my problem!  :)
