Horizontal Pitch Wheel

Horizontal Pitch Wheel

I have always found vertical pitch wheels impossible to use in a musical way. Also, they are too far away from the keyboard. As you can see in the pictures, I diy'd my pitch wheel into a detachable aluminum case which sticks to the rail under the keys with Velcro. Thanks to the Velcro, I can get it out of the way whenever needed, and place it there where it is most ergonomic during playing.

Should have done this years ago! I can modulate pitch while playing notes with the same hand and the direction of movement (left-right) is so much more natural fro me.

(And yes I did some aesthetic adjustments to the front panel too)

It's a bit Roland style, I think.

The joystick with pitch sideways and mod wheel forward motion with backspring though.
So running REV2 or desktop with such a keyboard would be close.

A JV80 I had was best compromise maybe, doubled up joystick with a fader to do modwheel also, to stay in a position.
