Midi Thru USB

Hi all.

Connected the Tempest to the Nord Drum 3P via Midi. Channel 10 on both. Play tempest, the ND3p plays, great. Record the midi either into tempest or ableton, and on playback, the ND3p doesnt trigger....   why?

Thanks.

Ye ive read that, its for playing an external synth, and not an external drum machine, still doesnt do what id like it to do. Ontop of the poor midi, a voice has gone, and theres weird anti aliasing going on. Back on the shelf or send to DSI.. mmmh.

Tempest can’t record polyphonically..Only on the external synth track you can do it..
As for the lost voice just contact support the guys will help you out..

Ye i get that, but the midi doesnt even pass thru on playback.
I can trigger the other drum machine, can assign its sounds to the tempest pads, layering etc, can jam all day, but when recorded into ableton, on playback, it only triggers itself, and doesnt pass the recorded midi thru. Absolutely daft, but then we know the midi on this thing sux.  Work around, setup 2 midi channels receiving tempest and sending out to each drum machine separately..
