Using Arp with external clock

Using Arp with external clock
« on: February 25, 2023, 03:46:10 AM »
I'm passing in clock to my Rev2 via a midi cable, and can verify this is working based on LFOs syncing, however no matter what I do, I can't get the Arp working for any patterns.

I'd like to be able to use the Arp working with Hold and Arp Relatch, so I can play chords in and have them arpeggiated in time with the clock, however as soon as I toggle the Arp on/off button I lose note input.

All I want from midi is the clock. What are the correct global settings to allow the Arp to function with an external clock?

Hi Pedr. You need to make sure you have the correct MIDI mode set - it sounds like you could have it set to No S/S (no start/stop). Set it to clock In and you should see the Arp respond. You can read more about Global settings on pages 14-20 in the user guide: https://davesmith.wpenginepowered.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Prophet-Rev2-Users-Guide-1.2.4.pdf
