Sequencer on/off volume

Does anyone know why the volume when the sequencer is engaged is lower than when it is off? I play a single-key without the sequencer on and I get the sound OK. Then turn the sequencer on and it sounds lower. No change in the master volume. Why would that be?

Recorded velocity in the sequencer?  Does it still happen if you turn velocity response off on the envelopes?

That seems to resolve the issue.     I never thought of the velocity on the filter envelopes. Sometimes I do not even suspect where to start with when trying to figure out what and from where it is going out. Thanks a lot.
