Should the T6 have come with a printed manual? I didn't get one if so. I find them handy for reading in bed ;)

Hi there. The Trigon-6 ships without a paper manual. Sorry for any inconvenience this may pose!

Dear All,

I have found three manuals in internet (2x English and 1x German):

https://sequential.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Trigon-6-Users-Guide-1.1.pdf
https://sequential.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Trigon-6-Operation-Manual-1.2.pdf
https://sequential.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Trigon-6-Benutzerhandbuch.pdf

Please do not be afraid of German one since it is the most detailed - if you do not know language just find correct chapter and translate it online. Here is comparison how good is German vs English:

English:
Quote
LFO Sync: When on, the LFO synchronizes with the arpeggiator,
sequencer, or MIDI clock. By default, the LFO wave cycle is reset when you
press a key (but is not reset if you press a key while other notes are held)

German:
Quote
LFO Sync (Off, On):
When you switch this button on, the frequency of the LFO is synchronized either to the internal clock signal of the arpeggiator and sequencer or to an external MIDI clock signal. You can then use the frequency potentiometer to set the period duration of the signal generated by the LFO in rhythmic subdivisions that are relative to the internally or externally set tempo, for example quarter or eighth notes. By default, the phase of an LFO waveform is reset when you press a keyboard key. However, it is not reset if you press a keyboard key while other notes are already being held.

@SEQUENTIAL: Could you please make English manual as good as German one? Thanks!

It's a good translation but actually takes some creative license in places (i.e. adds features/details that don't exist!)

I don't really understand where "features/details that don't exist" are added?

In the above translation from German to English? I know German a little and it seems that German manual states same as translated above.

BUT - the problem is not how good or not is my (or via online translators) translation, the problem is that I don't understand why German documentation is much more detailed and full, than English one?
Maybe I do not know the Sequential market but my guess would be that more synths are bought by non-German speaking people so having English manual with lower quality is at least surprising.

Cheers!  :)

For example, the explanation of the velocity curves is invented and not supported by the actual feature code - it's not accurate, but adds "detail"

Well, thanks for pointing that out.

One way or the other it means that Sequential has some work to do with updating manuals since both - not providing enough information and stating things that are not (fully) true - is bad, isn't it?

The manuals are written in English at Sequential, then translated into other languages by outside contractors. A good rule of thumb would be to refer to the original English manual if you have doubts about the material presented.

And of course, feel free to reach out to support@sequential if you feel you have found a typo or have a question about the material. That's the best way to help us improve.
