I am syncing Tempest to my Ableton Live project. Tempest beat is 8 bar long and is in 4/4. When I start my loop on bar 1 in Live - Tempest starts on bar 1 too. When I move my loop to bar 9 - Tempest starts from bar 5, not 1. I tried moving my playhead around in Live and Tempest seems to be tracking those changes in a strange way - it sets its internal start position to bar 5 on every 4 bar increment. So if I start on bar 1 in Live - Tempest starts on 1. If I start on bar 5 - Tempest starts on 5. If I start on 9 or 13 or 17 - Tempest always starts on 5 - never goes back to 1.
Does anyone experience similar behaviour?
Posted this question and straight away went to Live's MIDI settings and found a setting under Output: Tempest (press small triangle next to it) that says MIDI Clock Type. If you select Pattern (by default it's Song) then Tempest will always start on bar 1. This will work for me for now - at least I can sync the start of my Tempest beat. This is not ideal as I can't start in the middle of the beat.
