LFO rate sync to DAW via MIDI not working

I cannot seem to figure out how to sync the LFO rate with the clock on my DAW. I'm using Ableton live and am having no problem sending and receiving midi data between the computer and the OBX8 but I cannot figure out how to sync them together so the LFO rate is in time with the BPM of my DAW. It always seems to drift out of time and it's annoying. I've tried a couple different options in the global and page 2 menus but have had no success. I've also read through the manual too and didn't see anything about LFO rate midi sync. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

As far as I’m aware, the LFO on the OB-X8 cannot be synchronised to MIDI clock.

You can do this for example by sending a CC message from your DAW that is synced to the tempo. CC to the filter frequency of the OBX8.
