arpeggiator midi out - can’t get to work with ableton

Hi all, has anyone managed to get the appegiator to send midi notes out to Ableton?

My objective is to be able to use the ob-6 to appegiate my p10.
I’ve followed instructions in manual to the letter, but I still don’t see any midi notes appearing in Live when I record.

Midi ‘in’ set and receiving clock from ableton. 
Par/xmit set to ‘cas’
Midi out set to USB

When I record in ableton, I can see the notes appear that I play to trigger the appegiator, but no notes thereafter.

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong”
