So if I understand correctly I need to perform 20 some odd OS updates and a bunch of calibrations to make my $2000 synthesizer run correctly?
For sale: 1 prophet rev2, 8 voice, for sale. Please arrange local pick up as I dare not ship it anywhere
You don't need to install updates in order... you can jump directly to the latest OS. (Version 1.2.1) On this page:
https://www.sequential.com/updating-prophet-rev2-os/Regarding calibration... any synth with VCF Filters and/or other analog components is gonna require calibration occasionally. Fortunately, Sequential has among the best calibration routines in the industry.
For the Rev 2, the best thing to do is let the synth warm up for an hour or so (you can play it during that time if you want, or just leave it on for a while). Then, after its nice and warmed up, power cycle the synth, and then go and run the Globals > Calibration routine. You should only have to run it once (maybe twice), and you should be good for weeks, if not months.
