Updated shipping date?

I'm curious if those who have already ordered, or have been in touch with sales reps, have heard an updated estimate of shipping date?   

I know the original plan was to ship sometime in June but I can imagine Dave's passing put things behind schedule a bit.

I ordered from Sweetwater in early May. They told me shortly after I ordered that Oberheim had projected August for shipment of the first batch. As of last week, they told me that Oberheim is still estimating August for that first batch.

But to be fair, that was estimated before Dave unexpectedly passed.  I don't know if you've ever been a part of a small company when the sudden loss of a key player took place, but it can be absolute chaos.

Yes, and as "friends" of Dave Smith and his company, we should all try to be patient and understanding about this.  They just experienced a major personal shock, so a delay here and there is to be expected.

Patience and understanding are a given, and I think every synth enthusiast will grieve at least a little for Dave and understand that those near them are having a hard time. Regardless, it would be nice to know where we stand and what to expect. Surely somebody in the know could drop a line on the current state of things.

No, I didn't. Figured this forum was a better place for that kind of info instead of every individual impatient entitled synth lover bothering Oberheim/Sequential/Focusrite support I'm sure they have better things to do.

But I've seen pictures of assembled machines appearing, so I suppose stuff is about to move which is good enough for me.
