i read in the manual it's possible to upload custom Scales via sysX.
But it's not described at all how this works.

Can someone enlighten me?  Say i have an scl-file - how do i send this? (i'm aware how to send sysX-data. But i don't expect that it directly understand scl-files.)

i found out that the Prophet-5/10 most likely understands MTS ...and found a way to convert scl files to MTS
http://www.microtonalsoftware.com/scl-scala-to-mts-converter.html

so i would probably just send the says and the synth is in that tune...

i just realized there are much more than the 16 described tunings are implemented. Is there somewhere a updated list?

i second that question and add a simpler version of it: Does the P5 understand full MTS specs? ie. can i send detune data with every note? if yes how? sysex? NRPN?

i just read the midi specs and there seems to be no mention of MTS at all.

thanks!

before i send the resulted files thy need to be hex edited for the wanted tuning-slot number

Quote
The message that needs to be edited is F07E0108 01ttxxxx where "tt" is a number from 01 to 16, corresponding to slot 1-16 for alternative tunings. You may use Hex Fiend(https://hexfiend.com/) to edit the SysEx file. It will be stored in the slot specified in the file.

there are 63 slots not just 16

but then it works
