Not really... I didn't say that right...
I was watching my new fav synth set (Ehsan Gelsi, Big Nights In) and noticed the seq-steps varied in their length.
(On the Moog System55 sequencer?)
Seems obvious? - ...Each step could/should have it's own "length" (the number of 16th/32nd notes that it holds[?] )...
The sequences could then be, sometimes, much longer and it wouldn't take up much extra data/space at all.
(A half, or whole note, or even 4 measures, would only take one 'step'.)
..Instead of "tying notes together", you just extend a single note for longer.
(Like... what is the opposite of Ratcheting? << ...That!)
[Hah. Negative Ratchets? -- Actually, that would probably be the easiest way to implement them in the interface! - Negative values for Ratchet.]
...So
I want this step to last an 8th note, then the next one to last a half note, then the next one to last a quarter note... etc.
