Sound can still be heard at sustain level 0 when using vintage knob

When I use the vintage knob on my Prophet 10 Desktop module, if I hold keys, sound can be heard even if sustain is at zero. The effect is stronger the more the vintage knob is turned to the right.

This happens on the Take 5, too, but not as pronounced and IIRC only for one voice. The Prophet 6 didn't show this behavior when using the vintage knob at all.

I would like to know if this is as expected or if my unit is faulty.

It’s normal as the sustain stage value is also controlled by the vintage knob. It’s very annoying and a fair number of users feel that it should only be the timed stages of the envelope that ought to vary when turning the vintage knob.

Count me as one of the annoyed users ...
