BOSS EV-30 expression has no effect

I've tested my new BOSS EV-30 expression pedal in my Pro-3, and it works fine. I try the same configs in my Prophet X, and there's never any effect. I try assigning Expression to Cutoff with various amounts up to 127, but nothing. Of course, Slider 1 works fine for cutoff. I've tried both jacks on the EV-30 and polarity, which shouldn't matter for at least verifying functionality. Always no effect. Any time I replugged or switched polarity, I first shut off the PX, then made the change, then turn the PX back on. What am I missing?

I find that expression pedals that work on one instrument don’t always work on another instrument. Don’t know why this would be but it might be worth trying another pedal. I’m away from my PX at the moment but I think I’m using a Moog expression pedal, the EP-3 if memory serves. Don’t quote me on this though. I have a herd of keyboards with various pedal hooked up and can’t remember which pedal is hooked up to which synth. I’ll check for you when I can and let you know.

Just checked my PX. I had it wrong. I'm using the M-Audio expression pedal on it. The Moog pedal is connected to my P6. Sorry 'bout that.

Oh, wait, I'd read the manual searching on "expression," but I missed the part about the global setting for PEDAL/CV MODE. Once I coordinated that (per tech support's suggestion), everything worked normally. I canceled that M-Audio pedal purchase.

I.m Using a Proline Expression pedal on the PXL. Works fine. Global setting CV/Exp pedal to LPF Half works well.
