Hi,
I'm a complete beginner in Synthesizer. I'm in love withe the Prophet 5/10 on the video YouTube.
My question : I see Prophet 5/10 with Rev1/2 and Rev 3.
Rev X is a is a différent type/version of filter ? Right ?
I see some video with Prophet 5/10 Rev 4, but I can't find it for sell.
Does Rev 4 is really needed ? Or how transform a rev 3 in 4 ?
Sorry if it's a silly question.
Best regards
Vintage Prophet 5 (which were manufactured in the 70s and 80s) came in multiple revisions, 1/2 and 3. The filters were different between the first two revisions and the third one. Some prefer the sound of the Rev 1/2, and some prefer the sound of the 3. So if buying a vintage model the revision is important to note.
The Prophet 5/10 Rev4 is the current model being manufactured.. it offers both types of filter. There's a button next to the cutoff knob that switches between the two types, Rev 1/2 or Rev 3.
Hope this helps.
