Hydrasynth and rev 2 desktop

Hi all.

Wondering if any one is using the Hydrasynth as a controller for your rev 2 or rev 2 desktop.

Is the polyaftertouch working? If so is this direct via midi and how easy is it to set up?

Thanks.

Steve

Yes, I've played the Rev2 from the Hydra... It's marvelous.

The polyaftertouch is the best ever (or yet). I cannot overstate it, it's crazily good. Not only can you set the response curve, but there are parameters for AT delay, AT Offset, AT Fade (in) /aka attack, and AT release up to 0.4s

You can set small amounts of AT to affect LFOS controlling oscillators pitches (small amounts) on the Rev2 through Mod Matrix. Then, playing the Hydra sith a "Soft" AT setting, you'll get a little aftertouch on almost every key you play even without really "aftertouching" them at all.

I haven't used it with MPE though, and I hear it's not compatible with it, unlike some other more recent Sequential products.
