Delay, having to press multiple times to activate changes on Prophet 6/OB6

Has anyone come across this issue when changing patches/Hold button/Unison, having to press the patch buttons multiple times. There is a delay as if the Prophet6/OB6 has to load the data into memory.  It is intermittant and is across the entire synth, not just the patch buttons.  Sometimes the hold button and unison have to be pushed multiple times to take.  I have not seen any topics on this matter.  I find it strange that it happens on both prophet6 and OB6,

Troubleshooting by unplugging midi cables and USB have not resolved this. Updating to the latest 1.7.1/1.7.4 os have not resolved it either.

Sometimes the contacts get a bit unresponsive if not used much  and is a known phenomenon. Solution is to press the affected key many times in quick succession to “revive” it.
