I recently got the prophet x and I am trying my hand at importing samples.
At first they were very quiet, so I tried using ozone to boost the level of the samples and that worked fine.
The problem I have now is that they sound a little muffled. Its like a filter is applied, even when it's not. Do you guys have any tips for this? I am thinking maybe I need to figure out an EQ curve to apply to the samples before I import them but thought maybe someone here would have an idea.
It doesn't appear to be related to boosting the levels of the samples as far as I can tell. they sound the same without it, just more quiet.
I am using samplerobot if that is helpful. The sampled material so far is from various softsynths. The samples sound superb on the PC. I'm sure I am doing something wrong or dont understand something about sampling.
