I was almost... almost... ready to buy a Pro 3 SE to replace my standard Pro 3. I didn't want the tilt-up panel so much as I wanted the wood sides.

Somebody on the Facebook Pro 3 group pointed out this seller: https://synthcraft.co/products/sequential-pro-3-panels

I ordered what appears to have been the last in-stock set. I'll post pictures when the panels are attached to my Pro 3, and comment on the build quality and attachment.

Hi!

On a standard Pro 3 - how is the stability of the aftermarket wood-panels?

Reason I ask is I recently bought a set of wood panels for my Take 5, but they aren’t so tight as to warrant a massive amount of confidence… in fact I have had them sort of bent loose from the synth on a couple of occasions… just from carefully moving the synth from the stand to a table… it seems to be the small metal bracket’s that that hold the screws to mount the wood sides to the synth chassis that is made from a soft metal … and this turns into a weak point as there aren’t any way to fasten the top of the panels to the synth…

The Pro 3 seems to have much of the same way of attaching the side panels to the chassis as the Take 5; plastic tabs that slot into the metal faceplate of the synth…
Prophet 5 rev4
Moog Matriarch
Take 5
Moog Grandmother
Nord Electro 5

(Mopho X4, Prophet REV2 16, Prophet 6, OB6, PRO 3) ... as well as a pile of gear from other manufacturers

I really like the Blue ones.

Has anyone ever taken out the bottom wood bar under the keys and replaced that as well?

I know it would take some taking apart possibly, but at the bottom of the keyboard there are some screws that go up directly into the wood. I'm guessing there would be a couple more somewhere else.. Maybe behind the bar under the keys?
Had to ask.

Would be cool to replace all the wood, and put back on the Sequential Emblem.

@insumX - What product is this and can you describe how you applied it and cut it? Thanks!
