Aftertouch not working

I just purchased a prophet 6 used from someone. Everything seems to be working perfectly except the aftertouch. All the buttons light up when I click different assignments for the aftertouch, but when I press the keys down nothing changes. I’ve tried this on a bunch of patches. I tried turning up aftertouch sensitivity in globals. I calibrated it. I updated the os.  Could this guy have disabled aftertouch or something? Any ideas?

If it were me I'd hook up the Midi Out port to a computer running Midi-Ox and see if aftertouch is coming out the midi stream. That would preclude a possible physical problem like an unplugged connector.
