« on: June 23, 2021, 07:06:18 AM »
Is there a download available for all the original 120 factory patches (Banks 1, 2, & 3) that came shipped with the rev 3.3?

thanks,

Aren‘t they included in the presets of the rev4 ?

itīs "only" the 40 original presets from rev. 2   ( also rev.1 ? )
They are on printed sheets in the original manual for rev.2
Maybe thats also the case in the manual for rev.3  .....   I donīt know   :-\
I only have rev.2 manual .....   :)

Get prepared for some programming if you find any rev.3 "sound sheets"   :o

Cheers !

The rev3 patches are here ...

https://analog.no/wp/index.php/factory-patches-sequential/

As WAV and as SysEx .. I will check if you can convert the sysex to Rev4 format, so that you can savely import them.

Hi all, I created a syx extractor for Rev3.3 patches.

That creates as main output a JSON file of the patch bank.

Find the json file attached (remove the .txt in the end if you have a autoformatting editor).

My next step is to convert them in REV4 syx format.

However I observed that Sequential at that time was lazy in programming. They put up a patch (not starting from INI most likely) and did not clean up the values. In the P5 Rev3 that did not create any issues, but in Rev4 for instance the Glide Value need to be 0 if you do NOT have Unison activated. In the Rev3 it did not have any function as long as Unison was disabled and so - see patch 1, is right the first problem. If you do not set it to 0 in Rev4 it will sound out (try it):

And here please find attached the JSON output of File2 and File3.

So if you like you can start doing them by hand (or you wait for me to finish the sysx converter).

BTW: If you want to enter them by hand, I recommend a PC MIDI Monitor (like Midi-OX). That will allow you to enter the exact values into via the POTs.

Excellent! Will try a few of these in the meantime on my Rev 4  :)

Okay here are all Rev3.3 patches (120) converted to Rev4.

Things to consider before putting them on
I included a Group.syx and a single patch.syx for each individual patch. Hoever all of them will allways write to Group5 on Rev4.

If you send a group syx file, it will overwrite all patches in User Group5 on Rev4. Ensure you have a good backup of that group.

Other remarks:
1. I needed to tune some parameters. If Unison switch is off, Glide will be set to 0 as Rev4 reacts differently than Rev3.
2. If Unison is on, I put Unison Voices to 5. You can change that if you like.
3. Vintage is allways set to 48. Adjust to your liking.
4. If Filter Keyboard tracking is enabled, it is getting set to "Full" for Rev4 patch.

That shall make the patches sound as close as possible to the original.

Last thing to mention is, that Patch 518 (Group1 1-1 of Rev3) is obviously incorrect in the sysex I have. It sounds like the standard BRASS sound and not like the Percussive Organ and as this is pretty much documented, it is also not like the patch sheets from the manual.

I decided to leave it in place. Anyhow Group1 is already there - so no real need to recreate it again.

Have fun.
