Preset Knob Issue Prophet 08 PE?

Had an issue since purchase of prophet 08 PE edition, where selecting presets is a bit glitchy.

All other knobs work fine and even tweaking things via param1 is fine, but when using that knob for selecting presets unless turning it ultra slow it will randomly jump or freak out.

Hasn't been a major thing just a slightly confusing nuisance. Doesn't make sense that param1 adjustments are fine but same knob wigs out for preset selection.

Any ideas what to troubleshoot in this instance? Is this a known issue? Any fixes?

I have a Prophet '08 PE Keyboard with a similar problem - the Param 1 is slightly slow.  I haven't opened my instrument since changing over the Potentiometer Edition, but I suppose the individual pot could be dirty and in need of cleaning with Deoxit.  You might want to check with DSI about this first.
