Stereo A and Mono B Output

Hey, just wanted to share a cool trick.
My Problem: i want to Play a stereo Sound with layer A and a mono sound threw an effect pedal on layer b.
When i connected 3 Jacks (2 on output A L and R, 1 for Output B L) i would hear layer a being Played when i only wanted layer b to Play.
The answer to this Problem is, just plug in an Adapter (Jack male) with no cable. If you now Play layer b, you will only hear layer b in mono, and if u switch to layer a you have the Stereo Sound.
