Polyrythmic Paraphonic Sequences

Polyrythmic Paraphonic Sequences
« on: April 28, 2021, 05:17:34 AM »
Hi!
Is it possible to make different lenghts for the different osc tracks in paraphonic sequencer mode?
From what I expirienced the sequencer always jumps to the latest step length value. So if I press reset and for example step 7 on track 1 and then go to track 2 and press here step 5, it will use step 5.

Also it would be really cool to make different lengths also with mod track, to make endless evolving and changing sequences.

Yeah, it sounds like you're just doing the operation in the wrong order. Hold down the Track Sel button and choose the track. Then hold down the Step button corresponding to the LAST step that is to be played, and then press Reset. For paraphonic tracks, you can choose a different length for each track. It's the same for mod tracks, too.

Note that for non-paraphonic tracks (in which tracks 1-3 have the note, duration, and ratcheting), the lengths of the first three tracks are bound together so that changing one changes all three. Otherwise, you can do whatever you want with respect to sequence lengths for--like you said--evolving and changing sequences, polyrhythms, etc.

Yeah, you can definitely build complex polyrhythms.

Combining the ARP with Mod Sequencer in Paraphonic mode is my favorite thing on the Pro 3.  Here's a demo/tutorial I put together a while back:

Yes arp plus mod tracks are insane too,
but I was wondering how to get poly sequences like with the subharmonicum.
In my mind I have 3 osc tracks running building like random chords and melodys.
