Manual Live Panel No Sound

I'll probably feel stupid when I figure this out but...

I can not get any sound when the Manual button is on for Live Panel mode. I've tried the obvious things like checking program volume, master volume, opening filter and checking OSC mixer volume. I've even tried to initialize a basic patch by holding the manual button and pressing the write button as mentioned in appendix B trouble shooting in the manual.

I updated the OS from 1.6.4 to 1.6.6 but same thing.

I think it was loudness envelope amount at 0. Amazing it took me so many tries to figure it out. In my defense I've only had the keyboard a couple days.
