Functionality of the SOLO button

Functionality of the SOLO button
« on: May 23, 2016, 12:34:46 AM »
Hi guys

I've been a Tempest owner for a few years now, and I can't wrap my head around the SOLO button function. Typically a solo button means that track (or pad in this case) gets solo'ed while the other sounds get muted.

In my Tempest it has the exact function of the MUTE button, which is really weird. Is it a firmware issue? The manual or dsiforum doesn't mention any of this. Thanks.

Mutes bypass the solo button so you have to unmute all your sounds first for the solo button to work as expected. Also you have to set your solo/mute behavior in T's prefs:
1. Press the system button to enter the Tempest’s system menu.
2. Turn soft knob 4 (category) to the right until the “ui preferences” category appears.
3. With soft knob 1 (select line) scroll to solo/mute Behavior.
