Tempest Voice Outputs Mods

I was wondering if it was possible to modify a Tempest so that the voice outputs 1-6 didn't automatically remove voices from the main outs when plugging in a cable. Instead, would it be possible to change the "switching" to not happen when inserting a jack, and wire the outputs to have little switches to engage the "switching" instead.

My idea is that the jacks could be permanently connected to a patch bay, but then when you wanted to reroute the voices to individual outs, you would just flick the switch for the given voice.

I assume there is a physical connection that triggers the switching when a jack is inserted. Perhaps it would be possible to wire that switching to an external switch instead (well, actually 6 - one for each voice).

Has anyone ever looked into such a mod? Anyone out there want to give it a try?

I wouldn’t try that cause there’s also the software part involved..
