Sequencer starts

Hey,

i am using my OB 6 with USB and Reaper. Now i got the problem, that everytime i press start in reaper, the sequencer in the OB 6 starts. If i turn off Midi - Clock, it doesnt happen. If i put it on "IN" its happening. If i put it on NSS its not happening, but the clock is only trasnmitted while the track is running. If i want to do something with apreggiator it wont work if im not hitting play in reaper. What is this behaviour? Could someone please help me solving this.

So MIDI clock can send both transport control (play, stop) as well as clock sync. If you turn the OB6 onto "NSS" this is "no stop no start" which means it will sync to the clock but not start the transport of the OB6 (sounds like what you want).

The issue of clock not being sent while playing is likely going to happen regardless of the DAW you use.

Are you implying that with Clock set to "IN" the OB6 doesn't care about Reaper playing or not?

In your DAW, look for a setting called " Send midi clock in stop mode" or something similar. Nuendo has this function in the Project Sync Setup. Works just like you want it to. Good luck!

thanks for the advise. i will look out for that setting in reaper.

in nss the clock is only transmitted when the project runs.
