"No Files Found On USB Stick to Replace With"

"No Files Found On USB Stick to Replace With"

Sorry I searched but couldn't find my answer.

I just purchased the 8Dio OBX add on pack.

Download went fine.    Formated (2 separate, different brand) USB sticks right on my PX.    Copied the .rar files into the root directory of the PX formatted USB stick.   Put stick in PX.    Navigate to Global/Update Library....where I make sure the Add On Packs directory is selected.    Press Update now....and get "No Files Found On USB Stick to Replace With" error.   I check via Manage Samples, and I have plenty of space.  Only one Add On pack (A1) is there (the Last Prophet).     Very few User samples loaded in the User directories.

Tried with both USB sticks....same result.

What do I do?  What am I doing wrong?

The Prophet X looks for a directory structure starting with "px" at the root of your drive, with nested directories for the bank (eg: "a02") and then category (eg: "15 Synth"), and finally a collection of .zip files for the individual instruments.

The fact that you've got .rar files instead?  That suggests that 8Dio may not have completed some key extraction step as part of their download, or that you've found an intermediate file rather than the final extracted version.  I hope this helps.

Related to what Lady Gaia wrote, if you downloaded the .rar files manually, they'll need to be extracted. One tool is The Unarchiver and I believe what 8Dio mentions. If you use their 8Dio Download Manager to download the files, it does the extraction for you. Once extracted there'll be a Documentation directory and a px directory. You can then copy that px directory to the USB stick.

If that doesn't help, there should be some info on the 8Dio support pages on downloading and extracting those .rar files.
