1.2.12c Feedback

1.2.12c Feedback
« on: May 11, 2016, 06:28:09 PM »
Just a heads up that my unit stopped a "1" and did not automatically reboot.

Also, the bug where calibration hangs in a loop of L1-L6 returned.  Reboot again ok.

Love the new velocity curves!!

Thanks for the feedback. I still have to do the update, but I'll let you know how it goes with my unit.

@Robot Heart: Could you maybe post the characteristics of all the available velocity curves, like which ones are rather linear and exponential, etc.?

Same here for me - countdown stuck on 1 with no auto-reboot. But waited 2 mins then recycled power and she booted with latest 1.2.12c installed - such a relief! I'd hate to inadvertently turn my lovely P6 into an exotic boat mooring / ship anchor, or sexy looking paperweight. . .  :o

Yes the additional velocity curves are fantastic. Thanks muchly to all those responsible for getting this implemented.

Cheers.

Just got my desktop today and signed up. Update also stuck at 1. Reboot seemed ok, but I re-ran the OS update, which did not freeze the second time.

Hey guys, one little newby question here: If I was to do software update to Main OS 1.2.12c do I have to ran the previous updates beforehand? Or can I, in my case, jump directly from Main OS 1.2.8b to Main OS 1.2.12c?

Should be the case, right!?

Updated to 1.2.12c on my P6 - ***Directly from 1.2.8b***. I used iPad 2 iOS v9.2.1 Midi Tool Box App and a CCK connected via USB to the P6. All worked fine. No hanging on '1' for me. I cleared my calibration data out as a precaution because of previous problems with the P6 getting stuck in Lowpass Filter calibration. My unit calibrated fine so far! Nice one B-)

No problem. Also, keep in mind that the display won't give you any feedback. So you won't see any confirmation as you do when you calibrate the filters and oscillators for example. And of course the calibration buffer will be erased, which means that the P-6 has to "learn" to adapt to its surroundings again via a couple of repeated calibration routines.

First time I ever ran into problems with a update. First of all got the stuck on 1 reboot error. Did another update, worked out fine this time. BUT! Im having serious problems now. While playing it randomly just messes up the whole patch without me doing anything. Can't really explain it very well but its like all the patch settings suddenly gets randomized. Release is suddenly huge, cutoff at low setting and yeah this without me doing anything besides playing notes. This have happend twice now in about 30minutes!

So yeah will be have to degrade i guess!

Sooo pleased with this update, I finally have a natural control of the velocity!
This is it for me.

My unit stopped a "1" and did not automatically reboot.  I waited a couple of minutes and manually cycled the power.  The unit booted to 1.2.C.   Everything seems to work well.  The new velocity curves are nice.

I really like the new velocity curves. With the old ones it was quite tricky to control the velocity IMO but the new ones makes that easier. Hoping to see them in my OB-6 soon as well. :)
