OS 1.6.3 - Feature: Slop selectable between normal slop and Vintage operation. Great feature, but how do you switch between normal slop and vintage slop? johann

To reach 3rd global page: hold Bank and hit Global

<snip>

4. Vintage On/Off

My notes: when you’re in Global 3, both Global LEDs will be lit.

When Vintage is set to “On”, the functionality of the Slop knob controls the depth of the Vintage function.

You can use either Slop or Vintage, but not both. This is a new Global setting.

Anyone else getting really nasty and high volume pops from the newest update?

Not sure it it’s related but I won’t power it on anymore with headphones on. I don’t recall it being a problem before and I can hear it pop loudly through the cans across the room.

Loud pops have always been there for power on across the whole line.

Just updated my Prophet 6 with this BETA v1.6.3 and it is now out of tune, slightly flat. I have run around 10 calibration sequences and it is always flat. I can compensate by adjusting the master tune to +50 but this is not ideal.

update to this, calibrating the Pitch and Modwheel solved the tuning issue, now it is back in tune and everything works perfectly with the new update.

Has anyone had luck using MPE with the lastest Prophet 6 beta? (1.6.3) I'm using Bitwig as my DAW and as far as I can tell, I've set everything right (enabled MPE on the synth and on the track control) but when I do a slide it's always like I'm using global pitch bend, not per note pitch bend.

Same experience. I have a separate thread about it and am talking through it with support. I'll report back when I have something to report.

Do you have the module or keyboard?

It’s in the second post on the Prophet 6 forum. You have to be logging in to see it.
Prophet X, Prophet 6, Nord Electro 5D 73, Korg Wavestate, NDLR, Arturia Matrixbrute, Waldorf Iridium, BARP 2600, Eurorack and altogether too many guitars.

Just noting that these are labeled (as well as instructions for activating Vintage mode) in the "P6_OB-6_MPE_instructions.txt" file attached with the firmware in the sticky post, and have to do with MPE settings.

1.6.3

ooooh!

Now that's a setting that will now remain permanently on (vintage mode). Just the ticket.

If only a firmware that could magically create an extra physical octave on the keyboard;-)

Apologies if this isn’t the right place for this, but I’m struggling to get my P6 updated. I’m thinking it’s a buffering issue but I’ve spent hours trying different combinations. It’s currently on the latest v1.5.9 version.

I initially tried via USB (using Win10) and the P6 never responded (no countdown at all), so then I switched to MIDI-Ox using an M-Audio Uno and putting the P6 into bootloader mode. I now get the first countdown starting at 999, but the farthest it gets down to is 036. It seems like if I set either the buffer “Size” or “Num” to anything less than 1024 I get a MIDI-Ox error about insufficient memory, but if I set them to 1024 or higher then the MIDI-Ox progress bar finishes but the P6 stops the countdown at 036.

Has anyone else run into similar behavior? I’ve seen plenty of posts about the second countdown stalling at 1, or the whole thing completing but then booting back up to the non-beta firmware... Nothing quite like what I’m seeing, though.
