External audio input question

Hi guys, happy owner of a new Pro 2 and just learning the ropes.

Yesterday I tried routing an external instrument into my Pro 2. I followed the manual and managed to get the audio, but two things are strange. Firstly I can't get the synth to stop playing its own sound, at the same time as the external instrument. Secondly the higher note I play and hold to enable this function, the less frequency cutoff I hear from that device. I thought it would be fixed (linear).

The external audio input is treated like another oscillator so the patch in your P2 will process the external audio.

So if you don't want the P2 oscillators you have to turn them off.

The filters will track depending on the "Key->F1 Freq" and "Key->F2 Freq", set these to 64 to get it to track linearly.

Ah of course, that makes sense. That's all they needed to say in the manual! Will create a new user patch with all oscillators off and then give it a go. Thanks so much.
