I haven't tried it, but I think it has a "unison" section with some interesting effects on it.
I've spent quite a bit of time with Vital, and the wavetable editing tools are nowhere near the level of Serum. It's not even the same universe, in terms of flexibility. I bought Serum this week, and I'm impressed with it. Safe to say that it'll be the framework for my Pro 3 wavetable work.
I wrote software to convert exported Serum wavetables directly to Pro 3 system exclusive files. My software automatically downsamples the Serum PCM, and automatically reduces or expands the number of waveforms to 16. Right now, it's command-line software, but I'll have a web interface by the end of the week. My goal is to learn about Web MIDI, so that users of my system can upload a Serum wavetable and dump the sysex
directly to the Pro 3, without needing any other software or processing.
