Corrupt Factory Program
« on: December 18, 2020, 07:00:11 PM »
Before I report this to support, I'd like to see if it's an issue in all Pros 3, or just a problem with mine.

This program, F5 P87, should be called "E-Bow." It sort of makes sound, but not in any coherent sense. I do have "E-Bow" in U1 P87, but it seems like a factory program in ROM would be almost impossible to corrupt in this way (e.g., one single section of physical bits that happens to exactly correspond to a logical program). It's the only program like this.

Anybody else have this, or do I have a corrupt ROM? Or maybe it's not really ROM?

It's not really ROM. If you haven't changed the patches in the user banks, you could use the debug menu to Copy User to Factory Banks or Copy Banks. To get into the debug menu, press and hold the Transpose Down and Transpose Up buttons, then press the Global button.

If you've copied any patches you've created to your computer, you could load the default factory patches into the user banks, then use the above to copy them to the factory banks.

Woah, this is awesome, and also it worked!

And, in the long term, it doubles the storage space, which is exciting. I mean, the factory programs are amazing demonstrations, but often a bit heavy-handed for my taste.

Thank you!
