Smacking the OB-6 spring reverb?

It's an easter egg in the P6 and OB-6 -- they snuck accelerometers in there

I'm meticulous with expensive gear too... but, the P6 and OB-6 were built to gig with, so I'm sure a tap on the sides isn't going to hurt anything.  It does make one wonder if the accelerometers store "crash data" so that a hard throw could be detected for warranty determination   Kidding of course..

It's the spring reverb model only. "SPr", are you using that?

I've heard that sound enough when I was playing in a band in the 90's with a Peavey combo amp getting smacked around on stage and even more so with the reverb tank jangling around and making a racket in the back of the van every time we hit a bump.  I'm very careful with my OB-6 keys and the only time it gets smacked around it when it is in the roadcase.

Strange, because it works on my OB6 Desktop.
Of course, the effect section has to be turned on, and the SPr reverb selected in the B effect section.

Yep. Effects on, SPr, fully mixed in, nothing.

Ah, figured it out. Seems really sensitive to the amount of force. Too light...nothing. A tack too hard, nothing. Seems there's a sweet spot.

Glad you could get it to sound. After all, you paid for it!
