There was another thread where Gunship (a band known to use Sequential gear) was mentioned.  Of the synth wave bands to emerge in the last few years, they are one of my top picks.... so for any fans, I thought I'd mention they just released a nice remake of "Elenor Rigby" by the Beatles:

One thing you might notice on some of their tracks, is the lyrics seem a bit "inspired by video games", which sometimes are hard for me to connect with... even though I grew up with video games, I can't imagine them being the basis of inspiration for such otherwise great tunes Gunship cranks out.  The remake of a Beatle's tune may be a sign of a change of that lyrical direction?  Either way, I hope they keep making music...

Synthwave is an interesting genre..  easy to make, but difficult to make exceptional.  Gunship is at the top of the heap, their   sound is very recognizable and distinct, to the point where I think they're actually defining a subgenre.

While my primary focus is on EA Sports FC Soccer and related topics, I appreciate the heads-up about Gunship's remake of "Eleanor Rigby" by the Beatles. It's great to see artists like Gunship paying homage to classic songs with their unique synthwave style. Fans of Gunship and synthwave music in general will likely enjoy this fresh take on a timeless track. Thanks for sharing the update!

Yeah, nice cover. Unless someone does a fab job of remaking a song in their own image, I most often want to be able to hear the true guts of the original. Gunship held the Beatles track in a most respectful light, while synth-rockin' it proper!
