Also, regarding playing over the sequencer in a dawless environment... I highly recommend pairing the the Pro3 with a Boss RC-300 Loop Pedal... it's a match made in synth heaven if you want to record multiple parts and play over them. It's got three loop buffers, and you can continuously add parts (basslines, arps, paraphonic pads, etc) and switch between them while playing.
Here's an example I did of Pro3 with RC-300 Looper:

That is awesome.
I already have an RC-505 and figured with would be a great companion for the Pro 3.
One other question.
The 4 track buttons. (Ideal for those 80s Derpeche Mode verse, chorus changes.
Is there anyway they can trigger different presets? Could an update let you assign a different sound to when you change to the next track between 1 - 4? and maybe a simple chain function?
Maybe i'm being a bit greedy
Thanks Tardis,... yeah the RC-505 is a good match too. I just prefer the 300 due to the foot pedal triggering.... though I suppose you could use the RC-505 on ground, or maybe attach ext trigger pedal?
You can get a lot of variance between the 4 ABCD phrases with the current setup, but not a totally different preset with those buttons. Since there's so many assignable seq tracks, you can get significantly different character on each phrase, representing different sections of a song... altering envelope shapes, osc mix/shape/freq, filter settings etc. It takes a bit of time to fine tune each phrase separately, but definitely possible. I've been doing a lot of this the past month... building a new bank of complex arp, seq and motion patches.
Also, the Pro3 does have the
Cue Program function, which works great for doing verse/chorus changes, where you want a totally different preset. You can que it up with one hand while the seq is playing, and it will switch, in time, to the next preset and play the sequence on the preset... that's the best bet if you wanna have significantly different verse and chorus sections with different sounds.
