changing programs via midi

i was wondering if it is possible to change programs automatically via midi? So far i haven't found a way. I don't know that much about nrpn or sysex  and i'd rather stick to regular cc's

Trying to read the part about nrpn in the manual, but that stuff makes my brain go pssccht...

Ok i figured it out. Program change is not a cc message. I found a free maxforlive device that sends these. Just put it on a midi track to the synth and automate the program number. Just what i was looking for! Transistions are pretty smooth as well, more stable than when manually switching. Might look into using this in arpeggio's to switch program per note, a bit like novation implemented on the basstation 2...
