Feature Request: Gate In on CV ins?

Any chance this could be added as an option to send from the CV ins?

A workaround was suggested using an envelope follower on the ext audio but this doesn’t really help if you are trying to process incoming audio through the pro 3. Which happens to be the main use case I’m interested in - processing audio from simple mono synths such as Sirin/0Coast/DB01/Mother 32.

A workaround in some situations would be to sequence these synths via midi or CV from the Pro 3 but this is not always ideal.
