... and I love it!
I always liked the concept and sound since release, but did read some not so good things about it.
Now when I heard it's discontinued, I had to get one. Bought it used and it's a really really nice machine! There is not a lot to loose I thought.
Should have bought it earlier!
But I also think without the 8 bars length I would have been a bit disappointed.
I own a mek too, since I don't know when the pot edition was released and it's one of my favorite synths!
The only small thing I miss is the osc as mod source. But that's not a real big thing for me. A machine without limitations would be boring!
It can do crazy things for sure. Love the direct pattern change.
As I said I love it and I think I will never sell it again after owning it now a few weeks.

Made a video on the first day owning it.

For me it was mostly easy to understand, I read some poeple think it's too complicated. Ever owned a mfb? :)

MFB, yes. I had a Tanzbär. Oh my god I loved the sound so much. But I had to sell it because the Tempest was just so flexible, intuitive, and easy to use! Every time I tried to do something other than the very basics with the TB was a hassle and sometimes difficult even while following the manual word for word.

I do have a Dominion 1, which is likewise an MFB product: amazing sound with poor usability. But being a synth, it's a little more straightforward and worth dealing with imo.

Welcome to the Tempest club! Thanks for sharing your jam. I hope it treats you well!

After owning and using Tempest for a while now..... it is my favorite machine of all time and i had almost all grooveboxes...

Really,  please make a tempest 2.......
I am a little bit drunk at the moment but please....

Everything the exact same except:

12 or 16 Voices.... find a way to make them cheap.... to keep the price about t1.
Osc as mod source
1 or 2 more lfos
a lot more space for saving
A working midi clock output
More than two chokes per pad

Maybe some kind of user samples... but thats not really that important... would be nice to have some vocals...

Damn i would buy a second tempest if polychain would be possible.......
Maybe i buy it anyways....
Really, I love this machine, it is a masterpiece... for me personally.... everything in workflow kinds is really perfect. I have lots of machines at home, connected with midi and most of the time i just sit there with tempest. Crazy....
Thanks.
