Power Socket Tight

Is it normal to have the socket so tightly- fitted to the size of the power cord that you feel a slight shift internally when removing the cord each time?
I just got my new Prophet Rev 2. Everything about it is beautiful. I was just wondering if the very tight fitting socket is normal. Thanks.

i can confirm that it fits tightly in the socket
