Does anyone think they can recreate this awesome tomislav babić prophet 5 patch?
I sent an email to see if he would recreate it on the Prophet 6 but got no reply.

Should be possible. There's a lot of live tweaking going on though, which will make it impossible to reproduce exactly what's going on in this recording. I can give it a try later. Also: Do you happen to have more informations about this patch or a link to the original source?

I found the according site by Tomislav Babić and his only description is "filt sweep pad plus some filter fm from vco2," which still leaves open many other aspects. Anyway, here's my approximation of the patch:

https://soundcloud.com/pauldither/polymod-pad

I recorded 5 variations:

1. My default patch:
Starting off with the basic preset settings, the filter envelope obviously creates the filter sweep. The filter's resonance is set to about 3 o'clock and full keyboard tracking is on. I fine-tuned the sweep a bit with a subtle negative setting of the filter envelope knob in the polymod section. I used both oscillators (both at C2) with a sawtooth setting. They're very slightly detuned. Slop is set to 9 o'clock. Oscillator 1 is on full while oscillator two is at about 1 o'clock. The oscillator 1 frequency knob in the polymod section is set to about 1 o'clock while the LP filter button is activated. (Remember that the amount of modulation of both sources in the polymod section exceeds the one of the Prophet-5 by - I think - factor 3, which means that the Prophet-5 is only capable of about 33% of the polymod intensity provided by the Prophet-6.)

2. Oscillator 2 tuned down an octave (to C1)

3. Oscillator 2 keytracking disabled and tuned up an octave (to C3); oscillator 2 turned down in the mixer section

4. Varying the amount of filter FM (including positive and negative amounts)

5. With added effects (bbd + hall) and a bit of oscillator 1 pitch modulation via the LFO

Hope that helps.
