MIDI to USB

I just purchased a used P08 module, working to update the OS. No luck with the CREATIVE EMU XMIDI 1X1 USB MIDI Interface, stops at 28. Anyone having better luck updating with specific MIDI to USB devices?

Maybe it's the interface. I experienced no problems when I used the Roland UM-ONE with my Evolver and Prophet '08.

Could also be the application you use to send the sysex, what are you using? I've only had good experiances with https://www.bome.com/products/sendsx and over a bunch of different midi interfaces (including USB-midi).

M-Audio Uno. Before I got it I had a cheap one from eBay. This one works just fine. No issues.

Thanks for the replies. I was able to get my hands on the Roland UM-ONE mk2, got the job done. Kind of dated at this point, but would be good karma points for DSI to include a list of capable MIDI to USB devices in the trouble shooting portion of the upgrade instructions

Hi SFTechGeek! Did you manage to make it work with the UM-ONE ? I m using logic 9/ableton 8. My old midi-to-usb works 1/40 times so i'm considering a midi interface like this one.

Edirol UM2EX and Icon Cube Mi5 worked for me with my Mopho/Prophet 08 and Tempest.

for the record:
M-Audio Midisport 2x2 and MIDI-Ox work as they should.
