Issues with hum using on-board Compression
« on: December 13, 2019, 01:03:17 PM »
Hey everyone,

I am experiencing some peculiar behavior on my Tempest when using the built-in compression features and wanted to check if anyone else has the same issue...

When the compression is cranked to 50% or higher I begin to hear an electric hum in my output. When the compression is at 100% the irritating hum is too present to makeup for the nice compressed sound I'm getting. I have tried plugging the machine into several different outlets in different rooms and the same problem persists. Wondering if this is somehow normal or if anyone has any suggestions to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance,
Lucas

Hi Lucas,
First make sure you pull out all cables except the power cord of course and do an Osc calibration through system settings.Sound’s like an OSC issue...
Then if you’re having a USB cable plugged make sure you have it unplugged. Also are your sound’s in full velocity and amp volume?Maybe you’re lifting the noise floor..
Let me know how it goes
