Having 2 Midi Channels with one Synth

Having 2 Midi Channels with one Synth

Is it possible to have 2 midi tracks using one synth ? I have an Ob-6 with vst from soundtower and would like to add second midi channel (my daw is ableton) using again ob-6. As you may guess it triggers current patch and when you switch the patch on 2nd midi channel it also affects the 1st midi channel.

Is there a solution for that ?

thank you

Ob6 is monotimbral, so no, you cannot play two different presets at the same time via midi... For that you will need either a dual timbral synth like Prophet12, REV2, ProphetX etc... Or a multitimbral synth with more parts.

Only way you will get an ob6 to play more than one track at the same time is by audio recording it in layers in a DAW.
If you need me, follow the shadows...

If you’d switch between Tracks (and Channels) one OMNI anode, I guess you could have different settings on each track...
Mono mode (or Guitar Mode) on some synths is actually quite cool. I don’t know how it works on the OB-6...
