Oscillator Phasing

Oscillator Phasing

Hi,

I recently got a Rev2 to replace my Prophet 08. I noticed on the Rev2 that when using two oscillators, same waveform and pitch, at 50% mix, there's much more cancellation happening between the two oscillator's compared to the Prophet 08. Once when using triangle waves the signal almost completely cancelled. Is this normal?

Unplug the midi and usb cables and run the calibration routines.

You might want to turn on Oscillator Key Sync for both oscillators, depending on what type of patch you're building... I sometimes set leads and bass sounds with key sync on... or other patches where I want a real punchy attack.

Otherwise, there will be some free running behavior and oscillators may start in divergent phase sometimes (giving subtractive interference).
