Volume drops to near zero after some time

Hi,

Some days ago, the volume of my Rev 2 started to drop to somewhere near zero after some time of use. When I turn the master volume to maximum i can barely hear it.
Rebooting or Re-Calibrating the Prophet has no effect.

The only possibility I've found to bring it back to normal is to re-start the audio interface and then move the master volume knob of the Prophet, then it's working again (for some time).
One more thing I found out: When I switch the audio interface on, all Midi Out LEDs on my midi interface (Motu Midi Express 128) for some reason light up for a short time.
When I unplug the midi interface while powering up the audio interface, the prophet won't return to normal volume after moving the volume knob.

The problem also occurs on the headphone out and on the second output.

What could be the problem here?

I find it weird that restarting the audio interface has any sort of effect on your problem. That would maybe point out that the issue is in fact in the audio interface.

I don't think the MASTER VOLUME knob is automatable, but maybe the MIDI interface could send some kind of messages that turn the cutoff all the way down.

To be sure where the problem actually is, I would try to use it in isolation from the rest your setup (i.e. just the REV2 and a pair of headphones, and a simple midi keyboard like a keystep if you've got the Desktop version).

If the problem arises in that situation, that could point out any sort of issue that Sequential's support should be made aware of. If it doesn't, the problem is elsewhere.

What could be the problem here?

If you use some kind of DAW, you could double-check that it isn't sending a channel volume message. I've noticed that rev2 reacts to that.
